100 Day of Wykd Wisdom - DAY 3 KEEP IT SIMPLE

Have you heard of the K.I.S.S. principal?
Keep It Simple Stupid

KISS, an acronym for "keep it simple, stupid", is a design principle noted by the U.S. Navy in 1960.

The KISS principle states that most systems work best if they are kept simple rather than made complicated; therefore, simplicity should be a key goal in design, and unnecessary complexity should be avoided.

The phrase has been associated with aircraft engineer KELLY JOHNSON.

If the witchcraft books you are reading, when you begin this journey, are too complicated you are not reading the right ones.

Although its great to begin with how to do rituals and how to create spells, I would suggest that you actually read or learn why you do the things that you do.

The worst things I have seen by going down the path of perfection is that we open ourselves up to criticism from others who are always up to telling you how to do it better or not doing it at all if you are down one ingredient.

Our ancestor witches would be horrified!

Our ancestors rarely had coloured candles to work with.

They rarely had the opportunity to set up a permanent altar or be able to buy the perfect cloak for ritual.

That did not stop them from learning form their elders and continuing traditions.

They used what they could find.
They created magick from the simplest ingredients.
Lets not move too far away from the original intent.

Today's Wykd Witchy Wisdom tell us to:
