Great night at Miss Porters House!

Wow - what an exciting night at Miss Porter's House - what an honour to be allowed to explore!
We spent a few hours talking to the spirits at the house, and there were many!
We are still to look through videos and tapes that were recording tonight - but I got a few really great orb photos including the one shown here.
The house is very active - I could feel it the first time I walked into it. Papa Porter is still there and is looking after the joint.
He mentioned a flood at one point and showed me the front door as if to say that the water was going right past the front door. Later that evening one of the girls, who came along, showed me a photo of the front of the building taken in 1927 - it was titled "Flood" and showed the water right up to the top step of the house. The photo was on a poster in the lounge room.
The rooms up stairs were also active, so much so, that all of us felt heavy in the chest and breathless at the entrance to each room.
Hoping that we get to do it again some time soon.

Full Moon Headache!

Its full moon and I have a headache that has been coming on with the rain.
After tonight's ritual I high tailed it home to dose up on some happy pills.
I have a few ideas that I want to manifest over the next few months and tonight's ritual was a good place to get some of that into action.
A plan and ideas are a good place to start and tonight was perfect, even if all that energy building left me with a pulsing headache...
Tomorrow I head out to Miss Porter's House on King street to do some paranormal investigationing!!!
Mmmmm..... a handful of us sitting in dark rooms in an old empty house.
Sounds like fun?
You betcha!

Taking out the trash day!

Maybe Monday mornings should be "taking out the trash" mornings?
Maybe its a good idea to get rid of the shit we build up all week in our houses and in our heads as well.
I finally got to spend an extra hour at home this morning before heading out the door and cleaned up the fridge, did the washing, sorted some paperwork and then cleared my head...
some residue had been sitting there from things that I did not achieve last week yet had my mind set to do..
but then I did achieve other things that I had not planned - so that got balanced out.
I received an email from Aunty Esme this morning and she sends her love to all here in Newcastle.
She is currently house sitting for a friend and on the property there is a nest of eagles that she is watching every morning......that would be tough eh?
She we will thinking about us at full moon tomorrow as we think about her and our thoughts can interwine and meet and pass in the cosmos.......how cool!!!!
Have a good week all - and dont forget to TAKE OUT THE TRASH!!!!!!

Good results!

Well chaulk up another first time experience yesterday - I went to the opening of  the Art Exhibition run by one of the art societies that I belong to and within the first five minutes of opening two paintings sold - one of them being MINE!!!!!! Yay....how exciting meeting the purchaser and talking about my artwork and being congratulated on my art....super cool.
I am so glad that I had a sale - actually the second of the day as one of the art works that I had displayed at last weeks Wallsend art exhibition has also been sold - a lady called me yesterday asking me whether she could put a deposit on the one that she wanted.I have never sold two in one day before.
I also went out to Morpeth to meet two very dedicated ghost investigators who were spending a night in a haunted room at the Royal Inn.
We had coffee and chatted in the lounge area and already there was a great deal of activity around that area. We then walked around the Hotel and went up to the room. This room held many energies, but none bad or scary.
So we talked about what was comming up for me and wwhat they had been experiencing and maybe the caretaker of the property may be able to confirm some of these feelings.
I did not get home till after 11pm and then dreamt about my grandfather who I only know through a single picture of him that I saw at my parents home.

ANOTHER DRAMA

Another drama! Mum had another fall last night and had to be taken to emergency with a suspected broken arm.
Poor mum - I can just imagine how scary this would all be for her and ofcourse, I as usual, am totally flat out and cannot even think about getting to Sydney at this point to offer any assistance or comfort to her....
so I will keep in touch and send her some distance healing - that is the best that I can do...oh and worry a lot ( as I am VERY GOOD at doing that!)
otherwise my next few days are just flat out - tonight I miss one full moon celebration as I have to show up at an art exhibition opening and then I am off to Morpeth for a paranormal investigation that I am joining in.
My views of ghosts and the paranormal are dramatically shifting the more I read and focus my attention on these manifestations, and so experiences like tonight's will give me more food for thought.
This whole area of study is very interesting to me as there are SO many unanswerable questions. There are as many theories as there are phenomena and experiences, some well documented and others just heresay and over inflated by speculation and embellishment.
I do believe that our minds are most powerful, and the influence that this structure has on us, and others,  is astounding and spectacular - maybe we need to look inside ourselves for some of the answers we seek.
My mums brain is changing at a rapid rate - she is still mum, yet she no longer is, and her mind plays games and has changed her identity. It has created a new life, new personas that she has to deal with and has left her with a limited understanding of her world. She has retained all of her memories, yet cannot get to them - sometimes they reappear briefly which means that they are still there......
this is all very much a clue to the reality of the what the brain can do and how it can be damaged, how fragile yet, how precious it is, and how we should be learning to harness our own abilities......what good could we do if we really knew more about our own paranormal abilities...

Lani is at the Cottage next Monday night!

We firstly were going to have Lani as part of our YAAD course for YAAD students only, but as we had so many drop outs over the last few months ( must do something about that underarm odour of mine!!!!!!) we have opened it up to general Cottage participation.
I mention it here because I know that there are some of my readers who may be interested in listening to Lani and really dont connect with the Cottage any more.
Lani will be at the Cottage next Monday evening at 7pm!
Cost is $10 and this will be donated to her to cover her time and costs.
We also ask that you might like to bring a plate to share for tea/ coffee and catch up chat time afterwards.
If you feel that you can come along to enjoy this evening, then please do - I welcome you!

Lani talks dirty.....she says things like "YONI!"  ooohhhh ahhhh!!!!!!he..he...

I saw Stacy De Marco on the tele this morning talking about finding a soul mate using witchcraft......she is a marvelous role model for us all - a beautifully presented, talented, smart woman - but that stigma of the word "witchcraft" was something that was felt throughout the interview. I love the way it was deflected by Stacy and how she turned it around to stress empowerment, focus and responsibility for taking part in your future through active participation...and so it is.
Witchcraft must be bought into the new age for it to be sigificant and meaningful - we cannot all just stand around in cloaks and chant....that makes us about as strange as the other mob....witchcraft and the basis of pagan spirituality is rooted in responsibility in choice and awareness of our role and connection to everything else. Everything that any one of us does changes and shapes our world and the world that we live in...if only everyone understood the power of that!

Happy Mabon!

A beautiful little ceremony was held at Sacred Elements tonight - to celebrate Mabon. We tried to carry on the good work set in place by Aunty Esme and did some chanting and the scones with jam and cream seemed to slide down a treat after ritual.
Thanks to all for your attendance!
I did not sell any of my paintings at either Wallsend Plaza or at the Dobell exhibition...bugger, I was hoping that maybe someone might be tempted.
Never mind we still have the Newcastle Show up this week.
Maybe if you go to the show you might go the the Psychic section - there should be an area that this year is dedicated to psychics and also some stalls.

Gone Feral!

www.sacredelements.com.au
Please check the "Newsletter"Page for events and happening shit!
This blog has now gone totally feral - so I better watch what I say eh!
Life throws up some pretty interesting challenges and you can always find an arsehole lurking around every dark corner if you look hard enough...sometimes you dont even have to look and there they just are...
these people are a test to your resilience and commitment to the story of yourself first and foremost and when they are being total complete arseholes....then its the time to look inward and to ask yourself just how much is this person really impacting on my life?
Is it really important, life threatening, life changing?
Or is it just plain annoying...
I am finding that some people laugh heartily at things that I might take to heart and treat as serious stuff.
Is it because it is happeneing to me and not them and secretly they sigh in relief, or is it that they see the idiocracy of it all and I fail to?
Sometimes it is all so silly...and arseholes will be arseholes cause we do need some people to just talk shit dont we.........it can be such a distraction from the real problems of life.

Putting on my Super Woman Outfit!

Actually, I am going to sleep in it I think - just to rev myself up and get going....for the week ahead.
Am looking forward to what lands on my doorstep this week - should be a roller coaster ride ....
If you catch me yawning.....I say sorry right now..but lots to do and too little time to do it in.
Also Mabon this week...woo hoo.... another turn of the wheel as we head into the colder months ( yes...I can hear the sighs of relief )..
I am not asking for anything else right now...am just being grateful for all that is happening around me.

Sleep in this morning!

Finally a morning sleep in!
Although a bit concerned about the recurrance of a dream that has been plaguing me for the last twenty years resurfacing again last night - it has been a very long time since this sequence of dreams has occured, but I was thrown in the middle of it yet again last night. This dream involves the same set of people every time, but in different circumstances ( people from my school years - which is a looooong time ago).

I have a busy weekend ahead. Today I have a psychic party booking, tomorrow I have to attend an art exhibition that I am part of and then I set up a book sale at Mt Hutton which I will be running for the next two weeks.
At the moment money is crucial so I am accepting all opportunities. We are also going to Japan later this year so any extra income is greatly appreciated.

Certain substantial fees always need to be paid at the beginning of a new business so it means being smart with spending and although many things might be tantilizing and may feel to be a great idea right now, it is stupid to go ahead and buy what is not crucial to the running of the business.

It will all come in time...we do not have to have everything right this minute.

I am very very pleased with our progress....rather the tortoise than the hare...if you know what I mean.

Did you hear about the lady that sold two ghosts on ebay?

Yes....she caught two ghosts in two separate bottles ( weird enough right? )
But then she puts it on ebay and someone buys them for $2000!!!!!!!!!!!
Well blow me down!
Are people silly enough to fall for this?
Obviously....
I have spent another evening at the hairdressers having a miracle treatment for my hair....
God bless her soul...she has tried so hard..but then in exchange I spent three hours talking to her about raising children, ADHD and putting in boundaries...I think we are just about even!

Back from the Twilight Zone..

Spent the day in Sydney and spent an hour with mum..she is ok I guess, as ok as one can be in a body that no longer responds the way it used to...... as the brain starts to burn out.
There was some poor old fellow in a room down the corridor who just kept calling out, "mum!!!mum!!!" for the whole time we were there....it was totally heartbreaking.
Another older lady in a bed, angry as hell, swearing her head off.....she got wheeled away after a while ( to somewhere very quiet ).
Mum tried to make conversation, sometimes wondering who the hell we were, I am sure!
But she looks well and she had a cry when we were leaving...she also had her baby wth her sitting on her walker, which at one stage was a boy and then it became a girl...
of course a trip to the Polish Deli is now a "must do"...
and then home..a full day.
Today was cool for our first day at Kaos Headquarters.
I had a reading and then we went and handed out brochures. Then we had a visit from a fellow who may want to do some workshops.....or he may just want a crowd of people to talk to.
He certainly has some history....this chappy is 80 years old!
He has more energy than I do though ( although that's not hard )...so I am keen to ask him how he manages to do it....
Maybe I need to go to one of his workshops?

Worth watching!

Compass : Christianity - A History was well worth watching last night and we get part two next Sunday at 10pm.You could say it was a bit biased towards the Jewish side of the story........ and rightly so.
The poor Jews have bourne the burdon of the whole Jesus thing for decades - the program talked about the fact that Jesus was a Jew, right up to his death ( he was crucified as the King of the Jews ). We tend to forget this fact.
Christianity only really came into being after Paul saw a vision on the road to Damascus and appointed himself the leader of the Church. Paul never met Jesus.

The program also stated that it is now thought that Judas had a very specific role in the whole Jesus story as the crucifiction was an integral part - so it is now thought that there was most probably a collaboration between Judas and Jesus for the prophecy to be fulfilled in the way that it was.
Interesting stuff which I have all read about before, but it was highlighted again last night.
Next week the program takes us to the time of Constantine, the first Christian Roman Emperor, and the changes he made ( incorporating so many pagan festivals and feast days and the Easter dates ).
Fascinating stuff - watch it with an open mind.

You're just another brick in the wall...

My sweet husband introduced me to the music of Pink Floyd - and I found myself listening to "Brick in the Wall" today..
Continual messages of get a wriggle on and dont waste any more time...seem to be permeating my life.
We can all be just "another brick" if we dont take a stand and make life worthwhile.
I dont want to be just another brick..

Going to visit mum tomorrow to see where she is at - I have prepared a large frame with pictures of the family that can be hung in her room, as apposed to having all the photos hidden away in the drawer..maybe she will find it comforting?
Dont know how long I will be able to be there....maybe she does not rememebr me any more?
Anyway....it will be good to see her, whatever state she is in...she will be surprised indeed.

So a hat sounds good...

Yes, a stack of straw now sits on top of my head - so if anyone has a spare scarecrow...it might come in handy to stop the crows from pecking off my ears..
Work on Chaos Headquarters is now finished and we have just some more fancy, shmancy decorating to do but the important stuff is in and we will be up and running from Tuesday ( officially ).
Unofficially, I had my first clients in today - which was a good test for the energies, noise levels, table positioning and feeling whether all of this will be feaseable and will work.

And it did....
Its a little bit like Fort Knox with a few doors to shut to get in and out of - but the security aspect is good in that way - I was the only one in the building and it felt ok...not scary or anything...actually quite nice!
Hubby even waved at me through the window on his way to the shops bless his soul...

At last my massage table gets an airing too..it has been sitting in the corner of my bedroom in its case feeling miserable....I had promised it much use and happy healing and now it can have a permanent spot in a new corner looking important!

You must come and lie on it one day!

Chaos rules!

Tormenting my hairdresser at 10pm...thats what I was doing tonight!
What was I doing at my hairdressers at 10pm?
Good question......I was looking for a miracle...
Did I find one?
Mmmmmm...no.
That would have been asking for too much.
All I got was a lovely lady trying to be kind having been asked to create a wonderous thing...but you cannot make a silk purse from a sow's ear.
Never truer words spoken.
People with grey hair should never attempt red hair colour....EVER..without professional help.
Oh well.
I can always wear a hat.

When is a palm reading just a hand job?

When your art teacher is a smarty pants, thats when!!!!!!!

I went to art class tonight and because I was not prepared ( I actually forgot the photo I work off ) I ended up talking to my teacher's wife for half the lesson and then I gave her an impromptu palm reading.....then she got Tony to get involved. ( he is skeptic extrordinaire )...
He, of course at the end of the lesson, thanked me for "the hand job"..........
He is such a shit stirrer.....

Fantastic, Exciting News!

I am very pleased to announce that I am opening a new business venture with a close friend.
It is called "Sacred Elements".
The office is located upstairs at 13 Smart street, Charlestown ( just in front of the main doors of Charlestown Square ).
We will be open from 10am to 4pm daily - weekends or after hours by appointment.
We will be offering psychic readings, mediumship, workshops and psychic development classes, ancient wisdom, massage, reiki and energy healing.
It is also the home of the Newcastle Paranormal and Research Society and the United Pagan Church of Australia.
Please come and say hello - book in for a reading or a reiki!

Oh, the moon ...the moon....

Have we all gone mad?
Indeed, when the moon is out we need to be aware that things are a little bit quirky...just a little bit strange out there in the big wide world.
I seemed to have spent the day talking....probably rubbish...but it was needed.
To all of those that spent some of their day listening to me.....thankyou.....you have suffered greatly.

The carpet is in, the lights are on...but there is nobody home yet.
Tomorrow, Elvis enters the building and then there will be a hunk a hunk of burning love slowly evolving.
The new Adyar bookshop by the way is absolutely wonderful.......it is in a new spot right next to the Town Hall in Sydney. I kind of think that there are just a few less books than the old shop had but still.......I could probably have bought about 20 different titles, at least!
